- Doctor of physics
- Graduate of Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (emphasis on surface physics with minors in computer science and chemistry)
- Doctorate in Erlangen in the department of surface physics for scanning tunneling spectroscopy of magnetic molecules, including the development of control electronics and software for measuring stations in Germany and abroad.
- Patent Attorney training and certification in-house, at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Federal Patent Court
- Languages: German, English
